IMPORTANT NOTES:
-
All product weight entries will be made in pounds (lbs.). Weight fields may contain decimal values.
-
To convert the weight from ounces to pounds, divide the weight of the product (in ounces) by 16. The answer will be the total weight of the product in pounds. Use this as your weight field’s entry.
-
For UPS, all weight totals are rounded up to the next pound (by UPS).
-
For U.S. Postal Service, all weight totals are rounded up to the next ounce (by USPS).
-
If for any reason a shipping amount cannot be calculated and it’s not for a reason that would generate an error, a message will be displayed in the merchant variables at the bottom of the merchant confirmation email.
-
Shipping rates are not calculated by the gateway; zip codes and weight are sent to the respective calculator (UPS/USPS) and the rate is returned to the gateway and displayed for use.
-
If you feel shipping is too low or too high, you may adjust your products’ weight accordingly.
-
If you are using CAPS, weight should be in kilograms and the height, length, and width should be in centimeters. If you are using CAPS with UPS and/or USPS and your customer chooses UPS or USPS, the weight will automatically be converted to pounds.
